Terms of Service

These terms apply when you install and use the Why You Lose Customers app on Shopify, or use this website. By installing the app or submitting a form on this site, you agree to them.

1. The service

Why You Lose Customers audits pages in your Shopify store, identifies likely reasons visitors leave without buying, and generates suggested fixes. Some fixes can be applied directly to your store's product, collection, or page content with your explicit approval; others (like theme blocks) require your own one-time approval inside Shopify's Theme Editor.

2. Eligibility

You must be an authorized user of the Shopify store you connect the app to. If you install the app on behalf of a business, you're confirming you have authority to do so.

3. Plans and billing

The app offers a free Starter plan and paid Growth, Pro, and Business plans. All billing is handled through Shopify's own subscription platform — charged to your Shopify account, visible in your Shopify billing, and cancellable at any time from your Shopify admin. We do not separately store or process your payment details.

4. Your responsibilities

  • You're responsible for reviewing any suggested fix before clicking Apply. We recommend reviewing changes, but the decision to apply any fix is always yours.
  • You're responsible for the accuracy of any storefront password you provide for pre-launch audits.
  • You agree not to use the app to audit or attempt to access stores you don't have authorization to access.

5. No guaranteed results

The app identifies likely conversion issues and suggests fixes based on general best practices and an automated reading of your page. We do not guarantee any specific increase in sales, conversion rate, or traffic — results depend on your store, products, market, and many factors outside the app's control.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the app and this website available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or temporarily suspend features to improve or maintain the service.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Why You Lose Customers is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or this website, including lost sales, lost profits, or data loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

8. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify admin, which also triggers deletion of your stored data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated.

9. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app or this site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our business is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
